The Las Vegas duo Kaosa is back with a hard hitting electro-house remix of Barely Alive’s “Welcome To The Real World” f/ Diamond Eyes. There’s nothing chill about the songs these guys produce which is why we’re huge fans of their music. The original by Barely Alive is already fairly forceful; the remix brings the level from 10 to 11. Be sure to check back because the guys have a new song set to release in the next month or so.
We started following Kyle Bent’s career back in 2012 when he was just 15 years old. He had reached out to us seeking promotion for his song “Catalyst.” After the first 15 seconds we knew this kid was a special artist (view the December 2012 post here). A few years later and he’s still impressing us. His sound is more polished, crisp and his lyrics are deeper and really intuitive. Bent’s feature of Florence Welch in “Hanging On” is brilliant and provides a great example of how he’s far ahead of the learning curve.
The Radical Something crew released this official music video for the remix of their track “Long Way Home.” The EDM infused remix of the track from their fall release Ride It Out was created by DJ Big Red in collaboration with Norwegian producer Icebird. We think Icebird might be one of our favorite DJ names ever. We love this remix and expect more EDM songs like it this spring when Radical Something takes part in The Verge Campus Tour with Krewella and Logic. See if the tour is stopping by you this spring:
Festival promo videos always catch our attention. They pull us in with great songs paired perfectly with breathtaking video footage from what looks to be the best time of one’s life. This Lightning in a Bottle video is no exception. However, this festival is so much more than the typical music festivals popping up all over the nation. The spiritual promotion and overall positive vibes resonate from this video. Maybe it was the child narrator and American Indian narrator. Maybe it was the fact that the yoga lineup is almost as long as the musician lineup. Perhaps it was all of it. Regardless, this is a special event and we are really hoping to be a part of the journey, the experience, the people.
