This NYC duo consisting of Nick Ditri & Danny Danger continually put out tremendously intense electro-house tracks and they don’t disappoint with their latest–a remix of Neon Hitch’s “Gold.” Neon Hitch’s original featuring Tyga is already a fun club pop song, but the Fries really crisp up the vocals and then at the drop you get that token Disco Fries hard electro beat. We will be partying to this track for a while. Neon Hitch’s original “Gold” video is below:

About 2 weeks ago, Cal Shaprio and Rob Resnick returned to their hometown of New York City and threw a show for their fans, whether they were with them from the beginning or some teeny boppers with a fake ID that just hopped on the bandwagon. With scantily clad jailbait on the prowl, fighting their way to the front row to get as close to the duo as possible, we were up in the balcony getting the full view of the guys. With just a laptop on stage and a Mac apple glow, an all too familiar beat dropped and the crowd began to roar. “Le7els” was thumping Irving Plaza as smoke filled the stage and seeped into the crowd, creating a blanketing fog that soon dispersed once Cal’s shadow and voice were present with Le7els fading into their original track “Lose My Mind.”
Everywhere Timeflies goes, they do their signature freestyle as a tribute to the city they are in (it’s also an easy way to get people to scream when you mention something about their town). This time they took their TFTuesday ‘Space Jam’ beat and Cal spit is 3-verse freestyle between the crowd-assisted chorus. Throwing in some popular NY terms like “Brooklyn” “Knicks” “Rangers” and more, he got the crowd cheering at every punchline and sneakily threw in a jab against the Yankees (and pro Red Sox) without anyone realizing he was talking shit, even though everyone erupted at the mention of “Pinstripes.”
With Ms. Shapiro hanging out in the VIP balcony area sporting a smile from ear-to-ear as she watched her son entertain the crowd of tweeners, he went into a Queen-esque rendition of “Wild Ones” by Flo Rida which led into their original track “Turn It Up” that has been featured on a few FOX Sports TV events.
The 2nd half of the night was full of Timeflies Tuesdays with a few surprises mixed in. The first was the special guest appearance from Neon Hitch to help them out with “Ass Back Home”. Even though she lip-synced the entire time, it was still cool to see an artist come out to perform a song that some kids sampled and threw up on YouTube.
But Neon wasn’t even the biggest name to show up that night. JoJo shared the stage with Cal & Res as they performed “Adderall and Red Bull” together.
Their pre-encore song was “Under The Sea”, arguably the track that is responsible for their fame and which started the virality of Timeflies Tuesday.
As a final encore tribute to their homeland, Timeflies did their first live performance of “Empire State Of Time” which they just released as a TFTuesday 5 days prior. It was a hell of a way to end the night.
